AI - get started

You have probably already tested AI through ChatGPT, CoPilot, or Google Gemini. It can do some interesting things and seems like fun.

But how can you apply it to your business?

The answer can be complex, but there are generally two areas of interest:
1. Improving the productivity of individual employees
2. Optimising business processes through applied AI

And, if you have an ERP system, or a Cyber MDR service, you are already benefiting from AI without realising it.

A => If you have an IT provider, they will be talking to you about AI, and saying "sort your data out first". In practice, they mean "control how data is accessed" i.e. don't give AI access to all your data. (If you have AI in place now, ask it what your salary is and prepare for a shock)

B => If you have a BI or reporting supplier, they will be talking to you about AI, and saying "sort your data out first". In practice, they mean "make sure your data is accurate" a huge engineering task, which may be necessary later.

In reality, it is best to start with a small, controlled experiment. This demonstrates the case for AI, achieves some results and justifies the case for A and B. This is where we can help at Navigate.
